The Houston Astros will take on their in-state nemesis Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The game gets underway 2:35 p.m. ET and ESPN will televise the matchup.

Houston Astros at Texas Rangers Odds

Vegas has placed equal moneyline odds (-110) on both of these teams. The total sits at 10 runs and bettors can take the over for -120 and the under for even money (+100). Gamblers can also bet on the game’s spread with the runline odds sitting at -160 for the Astros -1.5 runs and +150 for the Rangers +1.5 runs.

Justin Verlander will get the start for the visiting Astros. The right-handed Verlander struck out 219 hitters across 206 innings last year (with only 72 walks) and finished the season 15-8 overall with a 3.36 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He made three starts against the Rangers in 2017 and put together a 2-1 record against them with a 4.74 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

The Rangers are going with lefty Cole Hamels as their starter. Hamels started 24 games last year and finished the season 11-6 overall with a 4.20 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. He made two starts against the Astros a year ago and compiled a 1-1 record with a 5.40 ERA and eight strikeouts.
