Texas Motor Speedway

Indy Car odds:  While there is no doubt that the Indianapolis 500 is the top race of the season in the Verizon Indy Car series there is another race that has clearly become the second most important and prestigious on the Indy Car schedule each year, not to mention the most exciting and fastest of the Indy Car year.  The Firestone 600 from the Texas Motor Speedway offers the absolute best in breathtaking excitement and perilous high speed drama.  The Firestone 600 will take place on Saturday night from the Texas Motor Speedway with coverage on NBCSN starting at 8 PM ET.

Texas Motor Speedway

The Texas Motor Speedway is an asphalt surface that is 1.5 miles in length with turn banks of 24 degrees. The configuration makes for the most exciting racing possible and a challenging handicap with the Indy Car Odds.

Top Drivers

Helio Castroneves beat the Indy Car Odds last year to win the Firestone 600 with Justin Wilson winning in 2012.  Castroneves is coming off a win at Detroit 1and trails only Will Power in the Standings with Ryan Hunter Reay in 3rd place.

Texas Success

In 16 career starts Castroneves has 4 career wins at Texas Motor Speedway with an average finish of 6.6 and when you consider his name recognition, success, and contender status he will be among the favorites for this one.  Tony Kanaan has 1 career win at Texas with an average finish of 5.7 in 14 career starts.  Scott Dixon has 1 win at Texas with an average finish of 7.6 in 14 career starts.  Castroneves is in good form and a proven driver at Texas which makes him the call!
