It will be a battle between ACC opponents when the Syracuse Orange (13-5, 4-1 ACC) welcome the Miami Hurricanes (9-8, 1-4 ACC) to the Carrier Dome. The game is scheduled to get underway at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Miami Hurricanes vs. Syracuse Orange Betting Prediction

The last time the Hurricanes played, they were topped by the No. 13 North Carolina Tar Heels, 85-76. North Carolina won the rebounding battle. The Tar Heels had more offensive rebounds (13 vs. six), defensive rebounds (25 vs. 17) and total rebounds (38 vs. 23). Chris Lykes led Miami in scoring with 20 points on 8-for-16 shooting.

The Orange defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers in their last matchup, 74-63. Tyus Battle was the game’s high scorer with 22 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field.

After the Orange won the sole contest against the Hurricanes last season, 62-55, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. Syracuse had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.529 vs. 0.398). Miami, on the other hand, had a much better turnover percentage (9.8 vs. 16.4).

A focal point for the Syracuse offense is getting to the free throw line. The Orange rank 49th in free throw attempt (FTA) rate (0.280), but Miami is among the best in the NCAA at keeping opponents away from the charity stripe (ranking fourth by yielding a FTA rate of 0.147).
