The Green Bay Packers will visit the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL’s first Thanksgiving Eve game, the league announced Wednesday. The game is scheduled for Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. ET and will be streamed on Netflix, per the announcement.

The streamer will also carry other NFL-related programming, the report says. Netflix will air the NFL Honors show during Super Bowl week, where the league’s individual awards and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees are announced. The outlet also will televise the Week 1 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Rams, which is slated to be played in Melbourne, Australia.

The Melbourne game will air on Thursday night, Sept. 10, in the United States but will actually take place on Friday morning in Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the report says. Separately, Netflix announced that its documentary series Quarterback will return for a third season beginning July 14.

The third season of Quarterback will chronicle the 2025 seasons of Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, Tennessee Titans’ Cam Ward, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield and Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Flacco, the streamer said. The added Thanksgiving Eve game increases the number of stand-alone games during the holiday week.

The league noted that the additional game on the week of Thanksgiving means there will be five stand-alone games that week before the regular Sunday slate. The NFL has played three games on Thanksgiving Day since 2006 and added a Black Friday game in 2023, the report says. The league also revealed Monday that the Dallas Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, with that game televised by Fox.

The complete 2026 regular-season schedule will be announced Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, the league said, and a two-hour primetime special will air on ESPN in conjunction with the release.
