It will be a battle between MAAC opponents when the Quinnipiac Bobcats (12-10, 7-4 MAAC) welcome the Rider Broncs (12-12, 7-5 MAAC) to the People’s United Center. The game is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

Rider Broncs vs. Quinnipiac Bobcats ATS Prediction

In the Broncs’ last outing, they were beaten by the Siena Saints, 59-57. One of Siena’s biggest advantages was getting to the charity stripe. They had 26 free throw attempts, while Rider had 24. Tyere Marshall was Rider’s leading scorer with 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting.

The Bobcats won a close one over the Iona Gaels in their last contest, 66-65. The Bobcats were 8-10 from the free throw line (80.0 percent) and held the Gaels to an offensive rebounding percentage of 21.4 (below the 31.3 mark opponents have averaged against Quinnipiac this season). Cameron Young led Quinnipiac in scoring with 18 points on 6-for-17 shooting from the field.

This could end up being a mistake-prone game for the offense of Quinnipiac. Quinnipiac ranks 256th in the country in ball protection (turnover percentage of 19.9 percent), while the disruptive defense of Rider forces the 25th-most turnovers in the NCAA (23.2 percent). It will also be a matchup of contrasting tempos as the fast-paced Broncs rank 54th in possessions per game, while the more half-court oriented Bobcats rank 273rd.

This will be the second game of the season between these two teams. Young led both teams with 24 points in the first matchup, in which the Bobcats lost 72-67. The Broncs had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (34.2 vs. 21.6) and had a better free throw rate (0.262 vs. 0.193).
