The report says Seamus Coleman and Marcos Senesi will become free agents when they leave Everton and Bournemouth respectively at the end of the season.
Coleman, who joined Everton from Sligo Rovers in 2009 for £60,000, confirmed this campaign will be his final one as a player at the club. After more than 17 years with Everton, he expressed gratitude to supporters, managers, teammates and staff and said the club had offered him an opportunity to remain on in a non-playing capacity.
The 37-year-old said he will take time over the summer to consider his next steps for himself and his family, weighing whether to continue playing elsewhere or move into coaching at Everton. The report notes Coleman has made 372 Premier League appearances, a club record for the Toffees.
Senesi, who has spent four years at Bournemouth, also confirmed he will depart when his contract expires. He said he felt at home at the club from the first day, is proud of what was achieved during his time there and is grateful for the fans’ support. He added that Bournemouth will always hold a special place for him.
Both players indicated their focus remains on the remainder of the season. Senesi referenced two remaining fixtures he wants to approach with his team, while Coleman said he would take a long holiday before deciding on his future and that the club and manager had been supportive in discussions about post-playing options.
