Tottenham continue their preseason campaign ahead of the 2026/27 season by taking on Sydney FC at the Allianz Stadium in Australia, according to ESPN. After surviving a relegation battle last year, this will be Spurs’ third outing of the summer under Roberto De Zerbi, following matches against MK Dons and Auckland FC.
Last week Spurs beat MK Dons 1-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly before travelling to New Zealand, where they opened the current tour with a 2-0 victory over Auckland FC at Eden Park, ESPN reports. Dane Scarlett and Richarlison were on the scoresheet as the match was staged in front of a record crowd in the New Zealand capital.
Mateus Fernandes, who joined Tottenham earlier in the summer in an £85 million move from West Ham, was the only significant new signing to feature on the trip, according to ESPN. New arrivals Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke and Sandro Tonali did not take part in the match against Auckland FC.
The fixture at Allianz Stadium is the first of two matches in Australia for Spurs on this tour. Tottenham are scheduled to meet Chelsea on Saturday, Aug. 1 at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, again working through preparations ahead of the Premier League season.
Sydney FC enter the match having finished fifth in the most recent A-League campaign, two places below Auckland FC, which went on to win the competition outright in the playoffs, according to ESPN. Fans can follow live coverage and updates of the Tottenham vs Sydney FC match with ESPN.
