UFC 200 Undercard Odds For July 9th PPV

UFC 200 Undercard Odds

UFC 200 Undercard Odds – The UFC 200 pay-per-view event this coming Saturday, July 9th at the T-Mobile Arena is set to be the biggest event in the company’s history.

The card is headlined by the major light heavyweight title rematch between Jon “Bones” Jones and Daniel Cormier. In that fight, Jones is attempting to regain the belt he was stripped of but never lost in the octagon.

But the most anticipated bout of the evening could be the heavyweight tussle between WWE superstar Brock Lesnar and veteran headhunter Mark Hunt. Lesnar is a former UFC champion who has not been active in the octagon for more than five years, but he wrestles for the WWE and is one of the most recognizable athletes in either MMA or wrestling. In Hunt, the UFC is not giving him a soft opponent, as the Samoan is a knock out artist who is able to absorb loads of punishment. Here, the question will be whether Lesnar can wrestle and control Hunt on the ground where he has an advantage.

Also in the heavyweight division, former titleholder Cain Velasquez takes on Travis Browne in a fight that will likely decide the next title contender. Velasquez is a former champion who was once one of the most dominant fighters in the world, but his career has been derailed by injury after injury. For Velasquez, he also seemed to fall out of favor with UFC management, and he was injured for his title rematch with Fabricio Werdum, so now we see him risking his ranking against Browne. For his part, Browne has been hit and miss at times, but the big striker will always be dangerous with his mits.

Another former UFC titleholder on the card is welterweight Johny Hendricks, who takes on TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum. Hendricks was KO’d in his last outing against “Wonderboy” Stephen Thompson which put an end to his chances at getting a title rematch. Hendricks is in danger of becoming an asterick, as his title reign was short. In Gastelum, it starts with whether he can make the 170 lb limit, as he won the reality show as a 185 lb middleweight and he has struggled to reach the welterweight division on more than one occasion.
