The Seattle Mariners are set to host their divisional rival Texas Rangers at Safeco Field. The matchup begins at 10:10 p.m. ET and fans can catch the game on both RTNW and FSSW.

Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners Odds

Vegas has listed Seattle (-175) as the favorite over Texas (+165). Gamblers can wager on the game’s total with odds sitting at -110 for over 8.5 runs and -110 for under 8.5. Bettors can also wager on the game’s spread with the most recent runline odds standing at -135 for the Rangers +1.5 runs and +115 for the Mariners -1.5 runs.

The Mariners are 86-73 straight up (SU) and 76-82 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 9.3 units for moneyline bettors while gaining 13.9 units (ATS). Seattle has a 3-4 ATS mark over its last seven games and the total has gone over in six of those seven. The Rangers have gone 67-92 SU this year and are 77-81 ATS. Overall, the team’s lost 10.0 units for moneyline bettors and 10.4 units ATS. Texas has covered the spread four times in its last seven games and the over has cashed in four of those seven.

Seattle’s hitters are putting up 4.1 runs per outing, including 4.5 per game against divisional foes and 3.4 per game over their last five. The team has hit .203/.267/.343 over its last five matchups and is 1-4 SU during that stretch.

Shortstop Jean Segura and outfielder Mitch Haniger have led the Mariners’ offense this year. Segura is slashing .301/.338/.413 with 10 home runs, 62 RBIs, 90 runs and 20 stolen bases, and Haniger is hitting .283 with 26 homers, 91 RBIs and 88 runs.

For the visiting squad, Texas’ pitching staff allowed 5.2 runs per game and its starters own a 5.38 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 6.27 K/9. The bullpen has managed an ERA of 4.27, along with a K-per-9 of 8.13.

The Rangers offense has slashed .240/.321/.405 on its way to 4.6 runs scored per game in 2018, including 4.0 runs per game against divisional foes and 3.0 per game over the team’s last five outings (2-3 SU).

Shin-soo Choo and Jurickson Profar have led Texas’ offense. Choo is hitting .263/.377/.433 with 21 home runs, 62 RBIs and 82 runs scored. Profar (.253/.336/.461) is up to 20 homers, 77 RBIs and 82 runs scored.

The Rangers have lost 4.1 units and are 25-28 ATS when facing a left-handed starting pitcher this year. The over has hit in 26 of those games, compared to 22 that’ve gone under against lefties. On the other hand, the Mariners have netted 1.6 units and are 28-25 ATS when facing a lefty starter. The over’s hit in 23 of those games, compared to 29 that’ve gone under.
