The Tulane Green Wave (4-10, 0-2 AAC) will try to end their five-game road losing streak in a matchup against the South Florida Bulls (11-3, 1-1 AAC) at USF Sun Dome. The game can be seen on ESPN 3 at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Tulane Green Wave vs. South Florida Bulls ATS Prediction

The Green Wave are hoping for a better outcome after their 80-69 loss to the No. 17 Florida State Seminoles in their last contest. Florida State out-rebounded Tulane. The Seminoles had more offensive rebounds (13 vs. eight), defensive rebounds (24 vs. 21) and total rebounds (37 vs. 29). Kevin Zhang was the top scorer from either team with 24 points on 9-for-13 shooting.

In the Bulls’ previous game, they defeated the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, 80-63. The Bulls had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.651 vs. 0.510) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (38.5 vs. 31.3). With eight points, 10 assists and five rebounds, South Florida’s Laquincy Rideau had a good performance.

After splitting two games last season, these teams will meet for the first time this year. In the last contest, the Green Wave won 79-68. The Green Wave had a much better turnover percentage (8.1 vs. 16.5) and had a better offensive rebounding percentage (37.5 vs. 33.3).

South Florida could dominate the offensive glass in this matchup. The Bulls are among the NCAA’s elite on the offensive glass, ranking eighth in offensive rebounding percentage at 38.9 percent. Meanwhile, Tulane ranks 327th in the NCAA at corralling defensive rebounds with a defensive rebounding percentage of 66.7 percent. Also, the Green Wave’s 309th-ranked offense (offensive efficiency of 97.2) will face off against the Bulls’ 29th-ranked defense (defensive efficiency of 91.9).
