The Tulane Green Wave (4-13, 0-5 AAC) will try to put an end to their seven-game losing streak when they take on the UCF Knights (14-3, 4-1 AAC) at Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse. The game will air on ESPN 3 at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

UCF Knights at Tulane Green Wave Free Prediction

The Knights will be hoping for similar success after edging the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in their last outing, 64-62. The Knights held the Golden Hurricane to an offensive rebounding percentage of 12.5 (below their season average of 22.9) and had a free throw rate of 0.431 (above their season average of 0.317). Aubrey Dawkins played well for UCF, recording 12 points and five rebounds.

In the Green Wave’s last matchup, they lost to the Connecticut Huskies, 87-71. Connecticut’s 9.7 turnover percentage was the team’s biggest advantage over Tulane, who had a mark of 17.5. The Huskies’ mark was better than their season average of 16.4. With 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting, Caleb Daniels led Tulane in scoring.

Tulane might have difficulty finding the bottom of the net as they clash against one of the NCAA’s best defenses. UCF currently ranks 37th in defensive efficiency, while the Green Wave rank 317th in offensive efficiency. Moreover, the Knights rank 56th in turnover percentage (17.0 percent), while the Green Wave rank 333rd in opponents’ turnover percentage (15.8 percent).

After the Knights won the only game against the Green Wave last season, 60-51, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. The Knights made 17 of their 24 free throws (70.8 percent) and had a better turnover percentage (17.0 vs. 20.8).
