UFC Fight Night 93 Main Card Odds For Saturday

UFC Fight Night 93 Main Card Odds

UFC Fight Night 93 Main Card Odds – The Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany hosts the UFC’s Fight Night 93 event this Saturday. The event is headlined by the heavyweight tilt between two former titleholders, as Josh Barnett faces Andrei Arlovski.

Both men are 10 years removed from holding the belts, and a win here is not likely to lead to a title shot for either man, but it should be an entertaining fight. Arlovski returned to the UFC after a long time away and frankly, he over-achieved, as he ran off four wins in a row. Now, he is on a two-fight losing streak that has seen him get stopped both times. Despite Arlovksi’s propensity to go out, he is predominantly a stand-up fighter who will be looking to end the fight with one big right hand. Barnett is a more complete MMA fighter, but unlike Arlovski, Barnett is a big-time under-achiever who has gone just 2-2 in his latest stint with the big show.

In many ways, the co-feature between Jan Blachowicz and Alexander Gustafsson is a more interesting fight. It has been a year since we last saw Gustafsson, and that was when he dropped a split decision over five rounds to Daniel Cormier. Cormier now holds the UFC light heavyweight title, and despite many delays in his return to action, Gustafsson is still just 29 years old and he hopes to become a factor in the title picture again. In Blachowicz, he is getting a fighter who he is a huge favorite against, as this is one of the widest lines presented for several UFC shows.

Another light heavyweight hoping to bounce back on this card is Ryan Bader as he faces Ilir Latifi. Bader had a strong five-fight winning streak go by the wayside in his last outing when he was wiped out by Anthony Johnson in less than 90 seconds. In Latifi, he gets a solid, hard working fighter from Sweden who has quietly gone 5-2 in the UFC. For Latifi, Bader is the fight that represents a step up in competition and a win would put him into the mix in the wieght class.

If Bader and Gustafsson both win their fights this Saturday, look for the UFC to match the pair up sometime before the end of the year. Like Bader, Gustafsson suffered an embarrassing and fast loss at the hands of slugger Anthony Johnson. For his part, Johnson looks to be on his way back into the next title fight.
