It will be a battle between MVC opponents when the Evansville Aces (9-13, 3-6 MVC) welcome the Valparaiso Crusaders (12-10, 5-4 MVC) to the Ford Center. The game starts at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 2, 2019, and will air on ESPN 3.

Valparaiso Crusaders at Evansville Aces Betting Prediction

In the Crusaders’ last outing, they were defeated by the Missouri State Bears, 55-54. Missouri State’s 13.9 turnover percentage was their largest advantage over Valparaiso, who had a mark of 16.0. The Bears’ mark was better than their season average of 16.5. Javon Freeman-Liberty led Valparaiso in scoring with 12 points on 5-for-12 shooting.

The Aces fell to the Bradley Braves in their last matchup, 81-73. Bradley’s rebounding was their biggest advantage. It will be a matchup of conflicting tempos as the up-and-down Aces will look to push the slower-paced Crusaders. The Aces rank 58th in possessions per game while the Crusaders are 320th.

After the Aces won both games against the Crusaders last season, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. In the most recent matchup, Evansville won 63-59. The Aces had a much better free throw rate (0.340 vs. 0.096) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (27.6 vs. 17.2).
