Chiefs News: Receiver Tyreek Hill Returns To Field

Seriously, the Kansas City Chiefs are the best NFL watch since the late 90’s Rams who were known as ‘The Greatest Show on Turf’. Now, fresh off his victory speech in Detroit; Patrick Mahomes will soon get his most lethal weapon back.

Indeed, wide receiver Tyreek Hill returns to the practice field today. Keep in mind, Hill has not been on the field since injurying his collarbone in week one against Jacksvonville. Thus, we have a video from James Palmer who reports for the NFL Network.

Via the NFL Network, Palmer has a full breakdown of what Hill’s practicing means in regards to his return.

“We saw him in Detroit, that was the first time he went out and caught passes from Mahomes in week one. Hill has been chomping at the bit to get back on the field. Him practicing today doesn’t necessarily mean he will play Sunday. Andy Read wasn’t ready to talk a lot about it. But it’s a good sign.”

Initially it was a four to six week injury when Hill went down with a collarbone injury. Now, it’s looking like that timeline could be spot on. While it’s not a return date marked, it’s likely that Hill will have a chance to play in week six if he’s sidelined this coming Sunday.

Therefore, Palmer reiterated this sentiment at the end of his report.

“I’m told the Chiefs are not going to rush it by any means.”

Undeniably, Hill is one of those talents in which there is no comp for in the past on the gridiron. When Patrick Mahomes zips him a pass, he’s one of those dangerous chess pieces that can take it to that house from any spot on the field.

Although the Chiefs will benefit and become more dangerous with Hill’s return, they have still found ways to score. For example, in the first four games of the season they have totaled point totals of 34, 28, 28, and 40.

Which is all the more reason for the Chiefs to be patient. When you have Mahomes at quarterback, a lot of guys are going to be able to shine for a couple weeks at receiver. However, when Hill returns; this could end up the best offense the league has ever seen. That is including the late 90’s Rams and the 2018 version of Kansas City.
