Dancing With the Stars — Who Went Home?

dancing with the stars

In this condensed version of Dancing With the Stars, two athletes are being sent home tonight. So, let’s get right to it. Rashad Jennings is the guest judge (Season 24 Champion) and this week the individual dances will be combined with their scores from last week.

First up is the NFL’s Josh Norman who tied for the highest score of last week. He talks about listening to movie scores that help him to focus on beating the opponent, so he’s using it for this week when he dances the pasodoble and I feel like I’m watching a scene of a Broadway show (side note: Sharna’s outfit!). I don’t think the pasodoble gives Josh a lot of movement other than arms straight out and up, but his emotion is there and he is a star. Scores: 7, 7, 8, 8: 30 out of 40

Jennie Finch and Keo are up next on Dancing With the Stars and Jennie doesn’t have the best confidence in her cha cha. She seems a little more relaxed than last week, but she’s still a little stiff. Len said it lacked a little rhythm but thought she did well.
Scores: 6, 7, 7, 6: 26

Up next is Kareem Abdul Jabaar and Lindsay doing the Salsa. this is hilarious how Lindsay is on another dancer’s shoulders to be as tall as Kareem. He’s having so much fun, but he’s still a lot older and it shows because the moves are extremely simple. Scores: 7, 7, 6, 6: 26

Chris Mazdzer talks about ADHD and having a hard time focusing, but he has to put that aside for the Viennese Waltz on Dancing With the Stars with Witney. I like Chris because I feel like he connects with his dances. Carrie Ann basically told him everything was perfect. Scores: 9, 8, 8, 8: 33

Tonya Harding and Sasha are up next and Tonya had a great performance last week. This week she’s dancing the Quick Step to Red Necked Woman by Gretchen Wilson. Can we finally put her past behind her and focus on this Tonya? Everybody should have a chance to move past something crappy in their life. Scores: 8, 9, 8, 8: 33

Mirai Nagasu and Alan are dancing the Foxtrot and Mirai starts crying because she doesn’t like talking about her 7 score which disappointed her. This week on Dancing With the Stars, she’s dancing to Disney’s “It’s a Small World After All,” and it’s purely magical. She looks stunning and the dance is beautiful. Scores: 9, 10, 9, 9: 37

Arike Ogunbowale and Gleb are next and they are dancing the Foxtrot to Pink’s What About Us. She is much more comfortable than last week, but still can loosen up even more and stretch out her arms a bit more. Scores: 8, 9, 8, 8: 33.

Up next is Adam Rippon to finish out the first round with the Quickstep. Adam admits he’s having a hard time with this dance. No wonder — his schedule is ridiculous, but that’s what makes him a world class athlete! I love Jenna and she can make anything look pretty good, but Adam is holding his own and all his rehearsal (or lack thereof) is enough to put on a great dance. Scores: 9, 9, 9, 10: 37 and he’s tied with Marai.

Now it’s time for the first Team Dance. Team 50s tennis versus Team 70s football: The scores from this round get combined to the dance scores so far. This team consisted of Kareem, Tonya, Chris, and Josh and included a great use of Kareem and jive from Tonya which she did really well. Scores: 8, 9, 8, 8: 33.

The Team 1970’s Football dance is doing a freestyle Jennie, Mirai, Arike, Adam. This was really fun and considering that they had to do it with Arike off studying for finals and still came together is great. Jennie lost her footing a little, but it still worked. Scores: 9, 10, 9, 9: 37

Now it’s time for elimination:

The couples in jeopardy:
Kareem and Lindsay
Chris and Witney
Arike and Gleb

The couple that is safe is:
Chris and Witney

Going home is:
Kareem and Lindsay
Arike and Gleb
