Oddsmakers are listing Milwaukee (-125) as the favorite over Pittsburgh (+115). The total stands at eight runs and bettors can take the over for -120 and the under for +100. Gamblers can also bet on the game’s spread with the current runline odds sitting at Brewers -1.5 runs (+120) and Pirates +1.5 runs (-140).

The Pirates are 77-74 straight up (SU) and 73-78 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 4.0 units for bettors taking the moneyline while earning 13.1 units (ATS). Outfielders Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain continue to lead Milwaukee’s offense. Yelich is slashing .319/.385/.569 with 31 home runs, 93 RBIs, 104 runs and 20 stolen bases, while Cain is hitting .308/.398/.423 with 10 homers, 37 RBIs, 82 runs and 28 stolen bases.

The Brewers have gained 15.5 units and are 60-53 ATS when facing a righty starter this season. The over has cashed in 48 of those games, compared to 61 that’ve gone under in such games. On the other hand, the Pirates have netted 9.8 units and are 54-54 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. The over’s hit in 41 of those games, compared to 58 that’ve cashed the under.
