MLB Lines: Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals are favored on Sunday against Aaron Harang and the Atlanta Braves. The St. Louis Cardinals have struggled a bit early in the season but they have their ace, Wainwright on the mound on Sunday and he comes into this game at 6-2 on the season. The Atlanta Braves are expected to go with Aaron Harang and he has pitched well for the most part this season as he comes into this game with an ERA under three.

Here is a look at the matchup and MLB predictions.

Probable Pitching Matchup
Aaron Harang is 4-3 on the season with a 2.98 ERA. He was great early in the season with an ERA under one but he gave up nine earned runs against the Miami Marlins and hasn’t been the same since. He will be pitching with two extra days of rest for the first time this season so perhaps that will help. He is just 1-2 in his last three starts with a 7.02 ERA. He has not pitched well in his career against the St. Louis Cardinals with a 7-14 record and a 4.32 ERA.

Adam Wainwright
The best pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals is 6-2 on the season with a 2.11 ERA. He should have won his seventh game of the year on Tuesday but the bullpen blew his win. He has gone at least seven innings in all of his starts except for two. He is 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA in his last three starts. He is 8-2 with a 2.61 ERA in his career against the Atlanta Braves.

Game Notes
These teams had split their last ten meetings before this series began with three of the last four going under. The St. Louis Cardinals had won six of the last ten at home in this series with three of the last four going under the MLB lines.

MLB Predictions
I like the St. Louis Cardinals to get the win in this one so I will lay the price and take the home team.
