New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays Odds

The Rays are 87-70 straight up (SU) and 89-67 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 24.3 units for moneyline bettors and 23.4 units (ATS). Tampa Bay has covered the spread four times in its last seven games and the total has gone under in four of those seven. The Yankees have gone 97-60 SU this year and are 76-80 ATS. In total, the team’s lost 11.2 units for gamblers taking the moneyline and 14.6 units ATS. New York is 3-4 ATS over its last seven games and the total has gone over in four of those seven.

Rays games have had an over/under record of 68-83-5 in 2018. Yankees games have gone under 78 times, gone over 71 times and pushed on seven occasions.

The right-handed Masahiro Tanaka is getting the nod for New York. Tanaka is 12-5 with a 3.67 ERA and 155 strikeouts. He’s 1-1 with 15 strikeouts and a 1.20 ERA against Tampa Bay this year (two starts).

Miguel Andujar and Giancarlo Stanton continue to lead New York’s offense. Andujar is hitting .298/.329/.525 with 26 home runs, 87 RBIs and 79 runs scored, while Stanton (.260/.337/.493) has produced 35 homers, 94 RBIs and 97 runs scored.

The Yankees have lost 13.1 units and are 57-55 ATS when facing a righty starter this season. The over’s hit in 52 of those games, compared to 57 that’ve gone under against right-handed starting pitchers.
