The Tampa Bay Rays are set to play host to the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field. The matchup will get underway at 7:10 p.m. ET and fans can tune in to YES Network to catch the game.

New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays Odds

The Yankees have gone 96-60 SU this year and are 75-80 against the spread (ATS). They’ve lost 12.2 units for moneyline gamblers and 16.0 units ATS. The Rays, on the other hand, are 87-69 SU and 89-66 ATS. The team’s gained 25.4 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 25.1 units ATS.

Rays games have an over/under record of 68-82-5 in 2018. New York has also been a decent under bet with a total record of 71-77-7.

The right-handed Luis Severino is getting the start for the visiting Yankees. Severino is 18-8 with a 3.38 ERA and 213 strikeouts. He’s 2-1 with 24 strikeouts and a 3.54 ERA against Tampa Bay this year (three starts).

The Rays will send righty Jake Faria (4-3, 5.17 ERA) to the mound. Faria has 48 strikeouts and 32 walks to his name, as well as a WHIP of 1.40. Faria is 0-0 with two strikeouts and a 2.70 ERA in one start against New York this year.

The Rays’ offense has been led by Matt Duffy, who is slashing .294/.360/.366 with four home runs, 44 RBIs, 58 runs and 12 stolen bases.

For the visiting squad, New York’s pitchers have allowed 4.1 runs per game and its starters own a 4.02 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 9.16 K/9. The bullpen has an ERA of 3.37, along with a K-per-9 of 11.31.

The Yankees offense has slashed .248/.331/.447 on its way to 5.1 runs scored per game this year, including 5.2 runs per game against divisional foes and 5.2 per game over the team’s last five contests (3-2 SU).

Miguel Andujar has led New York’s offense and is slashing .298/.330/.521 with 25 home runs, 85 RBIs and 78 runs scored.

The Yankees are looking for another victory after a 4-1 win in the prior game of this series.
