NFL Betting: Against the Spread Power Rankings – Week 15

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve got three weeks left in the regular season and the NFL Power Rankings have shifted more than ever. We have teams in new spots all over and while everybody has remained in the same neighborhood, some playoff shots either came to life, or were dashed last week. Here are your Against the Spread Power Rankings for Week 15.

Bet on MyBookie

1. Kansas City Chiefs (11-2, ATS 8-5): The Chiefs can wrap up the AFC West on Thursday night when they host a dangerous Chargers team. Last week: 3

2. New Orleans Saints (11-2, ATS: 10-3): The Saints haven’t looked great these last two weeks, but neither have the Rams. New Orleans is back in the NFC home-field driver’s seat. Last week: 4

3. Chicago Bears (10-3, ATS: 9-4):  That was a monster win over the Rams on Sunday night. It served notice that any team coming into Soldier Field should expect real problems. Last week: 5

4. Los Angeles Rams (11-2, ATS: 6-7): As good as the Rams’ offense has been, it’s not looked sharp the last two weeks. This is not the time to stall out on scoring. Last week: 1

5. New England Patriots (9-4, ATS: 8-5): That game-ending play might have just been the moment where the Patriots’ deal with the devil was destroyed for good. Last week: 2

6. Los Angeles Chargers (10-3, ATS: 7-6): The Chargers can mess up Kansas City’s postseason hosting plans significantly with a win tonight at Arrowhead. Last week: 7

7. Dallas Cowboys (8-5, ATS: 8-5): A month ago we were all but loading Jason Garrett’s U-Haul. Now he’s looking at planting a few trees and working on that barbecue pit he’s been thinking about. Last week: 9

8. Seattle Seahawks (8-5, ATS: 8-5): Speaking of teams that should have been out of it, the Seahawks are back from the dead and Russell Wilson is playing the part of the necromancer. Last week: 12

9. Houston Texans (9-4, ATS: 6-7): There was no way the Texans were going to win 10 games in a row, and for once that’s not a shot at Bill O’Brien. Last week: 6

10. Baltimore Ravens (7-6, ATS: 7-6): The Ravens are obviously going to roll with Lamar Jackson the rest of the way unless the wheels shoot off Sunday against the Buccaneers. Last week: 10

11. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5-1, ATS: 6-7): Three weeks, three losses and now the Steelers have gone from a No. 2 seed to a team now fighting to stay at home on Wild Card weekend. Last week: 8

12. Indianapolis Colts (7-6, ATS: 6-7): The Colts still need a lot to go right to sneak into the playoffs, but losing to the Cowboys on Sunday all but seals their fate. Last week: 13

13. Miami Dolphins (7-6, ATS: 8-5): And just like that, the Dolphins have set themselves up with a solid shot at at least a Wild Card berth. Last week: 16

14. Tennessee Titans (7-6, ATS: 7-6): The Titans too have their playoff hopes hanging by a thread. They’ll have to keep the Giants from snipping it Sunday. Last week: 19

15. Minnesota Vikings (6-6-1,ATS: 6-7): In spite of how poorly they’ve played, the Vikings still have the inside track to the No. 6 seed in the NFC. One more stumble and it’s over. Last week: 12

16. Philadelphia Eagles (6-7 ATS: 4-9): It looks like it might be up to Nick Foles once again to salvage what’s left of the Eagles’ season. Last week: 14

17. Denver Broncos (6-7, ATS: 6-7): Just when we thought we’d seen the last of 2016 Case Keenum, he goes and makes the trip to San Francisco. Last week: 15

18. Washington Redskins (6-7, ATS: 7-6): Jay Gruden is almost as good at evaluating quarterbacks as he is at coaching an NFL team. Last week: 17

19. Carolina Panthers (6-7, ATS: 5-8):  I’ve never seen a late-season dive like this one, Carolina. Do you have it in you to shock the Saints? Last week: 18

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-8, ATS: 5-8): You’re not going to remain employed playing like that, Jameis Winston. Last week: 20

21. Cleveland Browns (5-7-1, ATS: 8-5): The fact that Gregg Williams, of all people, has won four games with this team is a worse indictment of Hue Jackson than anyone could write. Last week: 27

22. Green Bay Packers (5-7-1 ATS: 5-8): The Vikings just fired him, but I still think the Packers should look very hard at John DeFilippo as their next head coach. Last week: 22

23. Detroit Lions (5-8, ATS: 7-6): If DeFilippo doesn’t land somewhere as a head coach next season, Detroit would be fools not to open the bank for him as their new offensive coordinator. Last week: 23

24. Cincinnati Bengals (5-8, ATS: 6-7): As promised, I will reiterate this once again — the Bengals have not won a game since they let Hue Jackson back into the building. Last week: 21

25. New York Giants (5-8, ATS: 7-6): The Giants are built perfectly to spend the next three weekends messing up some playoff seeding and plans. Last week: 24

26. New York Jets (4-9, ATS: 4-9): This is a Jets team that, for three of its four seasons under Todd Bowles, has outperformed its roster. I think they’d be dumb to fire him. Continue to build and get him players. Last week: 30

27. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-9,ATS: 4-9): It’s hard to believe this is the same team that was a play away in last year’s AFC Championship game of getting blown out in the Super Bowl. Last week: 25

28. Atlanta Falcons (4-9, ATS: 3-10): There is no excuse for this team to be this bad and no reason at all Dan Quinn should still be employed come New Year’s Day. Last week: 26

29. Buffalo Bills (4-9, ATS: 5-8): Another week, another rankings where the Bills aren’t at No. 32. That’s a terrific head coaching job from Sean McDermott. Last week: 28

30. San Francisco 49ers (3-10, ATS: 3-10): There’s no way to move you up too far, 49ers, but that was a nice win over the Broncos. This will be a dangerous team in 2019. Last week: 31

31. Oakland Raiders (3-10, ATS: 5-8): That was a shocking win over the Steelers. But, of course, any win for the Raiders is shocking. Last week: 32

32. Arizona Cardinals (3-10, ATS: 6-7): Nice fall back to Earth after knocking out the Packers and ending the Mike McCarthy era. Last Week: 29
