NFL Week 10 Betting Odds: Look-ahead Lines

Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

Week 9 of the NFL season kicked off with the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers getting things underway. As the rest of the teams get ready for action, the look-ahead lines for Week 10 have been released. Here’s a closer look at the matchups and the early lines:

Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Look-ahead Line: Steelers -6.5

The Panthers-Steelers showdown will be one of the marquee matchups on a bit of a nondescript week. Both teams are viewed as contenders in their conference, although both are a step down from the elite teams.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

Look-ahead Line: Jets -7

The Jets will be a sizable favorite as the Bills quarterback situation is a mess. Expect the line to climb if Nathan Peterman earns a second consecutive start.

Atlanta Falcons at Cleveland Browns

Look-ahead Line: Falcons -1.5

The Browns have been crumbling over the last month and will now host the Falcons. This will be the Falcons second straight road game after playing in Washington this week.

New Orleans Saints at Cincinnati Bengals

Look-ahead Line: Saints -4.5

The Saints will be in a tough spot here. They’ll go on the road to play a decent Bengals team after a trio of games against Baltimore, Minnesota and the Los Angeles Rams. This could be a letdown spot.

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Look-ahead Line: PICK

The Redskins are a division leader but you can tell how little faith anyone has in them considering they’re a PICK at Tampa Bay, who has been mostly lousy this year.

Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers

Look-ahead Line: NO LINE

We’ll be waiting to hear on the Dolphins quarterback situation in this spot as Ryan Tannehill is still banged up.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts

Look-ahead Line: Colts -1.5

The Colts and Jaguars are still in the thick of the race in the AFC South as the Houston Texans – who lead – are merely two games ahead. The loser of this game is probably out of the race, though.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

Look-ahead Line: Bears -3.5

This could be the last call for the Lions. If they can’t win in this spot, their hopes of winning the division – or making the playoffs – could slip away.

Arizona Cardinals at Kansas City Chiefs

Look-ahead Line: Chiefs -14.5

The Chiefs are again a massive favorite as they’ll take on the Cardinals and rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. The Cardinals only two wins this season have come against San Francisco.

Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders

Look-ahead Line: Chargers -8

The Raiders will have 10 days to prepare for this game after playing on Thursday night but it might not matter. They’ve been pathetic on both sides of the ball all season and should be overmatched in this game.

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams

Look-ahead Line: Rams -8.5

The Seahawks have played well after their slow start. They’ve won four of five with the lone loss being a close call at home to the Rams.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Look-ahead Line: Eagles -6

Two teams who bolstered their lineup at the trade deadline with receivers will try to make their move in the NFC East. Both teams are trying to track down the Washington Redskins, who currently lead the division.

New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers

Look-ahead Line: 49ers -2

Imagine the one-win San Francisco 49ers being favorites in back-to-back weeks. That’s the case after they opened up as a favorite over Oakland last week and are again favored as the Giants visit next week.
