The New Orleans Pelicans (1-0) welcome the Sacramento Kings (0-1) to Smoothie King Center for their home opener. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, October 19, 2018, and will air on NBC Sports – California.

New Orleans opened as an 11-point favorite, while the Over/Under (O/U) for the game has been set at 229 points.

Although the Kings were beaten by the Utah Jazz in their last contest, 123-117, they did cover as 8.5-point underdogs. The total points for the game (240) finished well over the projected point total of 205.5. One of Utah’s biggest advantages was getting to the free throw line. They made 38 trips to the line, while Sacramento went just 18 times. Willie Cauley-Stein was Sacramento’s leading scorer with 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting.

The last time the Pelicans played, they had no trouble getting past the Houston Rockets, 131-112, despite being 8-point underdogs.
