Saint Peter’s Peacocks vs. Manhattan Jaspers Free Prediction

In the Peacocks’ last game, they were topped by the Rider Broncs, 59-51. One of Rider’s largest strengths was getting to the charity stripe. They made 25 trips to the line, while Saint Peter’s went just 13 times. Samuel Idowu played well for Saint Peter’s, recording 10 points, six rebounds and six blocks.

The Jaspers defeated the Fairfield Stags in their last outing, 62-49. Manhattan’s offensive rebounding percentage was their biggest strength over Fairfield. The Jaspers had a rate of 44.0 (above their season average of 31.0), while the Stags posted a mark of 29.7. With 15 points and eight rebounds, Manhattan’s Ebube Ebube had a good outing.

This will be the second game of the season between these two teams. In the first, Warren Williams scored a game-high 15 points and the Jaspers beat the Peacocks 58-56. He also recorded six rebounds. Manhattan had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.540 vs. 0.357). Saint Peter’s, on the other hand, did a terrific job of converting from the free throw line (26-28; 92.9 percent).

Half-court execution will be critical when a pair of the NCAA’s slowest-paced teams clash. Manhattan ranks 348th in possessions per game (63.3) and Saint Peter’s is 308th (66.8). Ball security could be troublesome for the Peacocks. They rank 341st at avoiding errors (turnover percentage of 23.3 percent), while the Jaspers force the 11th-most turnovers in the NCAA (opponents’ turnover percentage of 24.5 percent).
