Saturday’s Nationwide Buckle Up 200 at Dover on ESPN

NASCAR Lines:  NASCAR heads to Dover this weekend with the Nationwide race on Saturday and the Sprint Cup race on Sunday. ESPN will be televising the Nationwide race, the Buckle Up 200 on Saturday.  Four of the Sprint Cup regulars will be crossing over and doing double duty this weekend and they are the top choices in NASCAR betting.  Here is a look at Saturday’s race and NASCAR predictions.

Favorites

The three main contenders to win the Buckle Up 200 on Saturday at Dover are Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano.  The other Sprint Cup regular who could get some action is Kyle Larson.  Kyle Busch won this race in 2010 while Joey Logano has won the race in each of the past two seasons.  The top three choices are listed at single-digit odds so it is a matter of picking which of the Sprint Cup regulars you think has the best chance of getting the win on Saturday.

Nationwide Standings

  1. Regan Smith
  2. Elliott Sadler
  3. Chase Elliott
  4. Trevor Bayne
  5. Ty Dillon

If you are going to go against the Sprint Cup regulars then you might want to take a shot with Elliott Sadler. He is second in the Nationwide point’s race, just five out of the lead.  He was able to practice at Dover a few weeks ago and seems to be ready for this race. “Dover has always been a unique track to race at during our long, grueling season. Besides Bristol, Dover is the only other concrete racetrack on our Nationwide Series schedule.” Sadler said, “Fortunately, I was able to come to Dover a few weeks ago for a Goodyear tire test, and as a team we were very satisfied with our results and feel very confident going into this Saturday’s race.”

NASCAR Predictions

This is a big weekend for Matt Kenseth and I like his chances of winning at least once in the two races.  I will take him in this race on Saturday and for my longshot in NASCAR betting odds I will go with Elliott Sadler.
