Tulane Green Wave vs. Connecticut Huskies Free Prediction

In the Green Wave’s last outing, they were defeated by the Memphis Tigers, 83-79. Memphis’ 0.500 effective field goal percentage was their largest strength over Tulane, who had a mark of 0.413. The Tigers’ mark was below their season average of 0.528, while the Green Wave’s was below their season average of 0.488. Tulane’s Blake Paul played well, recording 15 points and 13 rebounds.

The Huskies fell to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in their last contest, 89-83. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Tulsa’s largest strengths. They had 36 free throw attempts, while Connecticut had just 15. Connecticut’s Jalen Adams had a good game, leading the team in scoring with 27 points on 11-for-18 shooting.

Look for Connecticut to own the offensive glass in this showdown. The Huskies rank 54th in offensive rebounding percentage (33.4 percent), while Tulane ranks 303rd in defensive rebounding percentage (68.1 percent). It could also be a mistake-prone game for the Green Wave’s offense, which ranks 305th in ball security (turnover percentage of 21.6 percent). They’ll be going up against the stingy defense of the Huskies, which forces the 56th-most turnovers in the NCAA (22.3 percent).

After the Huskies won the lone contest against the Green Wave last season, 67-57, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. The Huskies had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (35.5 vs. 20.0) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.546 vs. 0.471).
