UFC Fight Night 98 Undercard Odds

UFC Fight Night 98 Undercard Odds – The UFC returns to Fox Sports 1 for a card this Saturday night, November 5th that will see the main events air live from Mexico City. At the top of the card is the lightweight feature between Tony Ferguson and Rafael Dos Anjos, but the 13 fight card has lines up at the books.

The UFC has plucked 23 year old Alexa Grasso from the Invicta ranks where the native Mexican 115 pounder has upped her record to a perfect 8-0 in MMA. Veteran Heather Clark is more than a dozen years older than her opponent and she has the UFC experience, having gone 1-1 in her UFC career. In her last outing, she took Karolina Kowalkiewicz the distance in a UD loss. Kowalkiewicz went on to win a subsequent fight to move to 10-0 and earn the next title shot. Grasso enters the fight among the biggest favorites at the sprots books.

Brazil’s Douglas Silva de Andrade showed up to the UFC with a gaudy 22-0 record in February of 2014  and he promptly notched his first loss. He came back a year later in February of 2015 and notched a win however we haven’t seen him in the 18 months since. Providing the opposition this time is Mexico’s Henry Briones (16-5-1).  Briones too is 1-1 in the UFC and has been off for more than a year. The last time we saw Briones he fought tough Cody Gabrandt the full fifteen minutes. Though he came up on the short end with the judges, Garbrandt has gone on to KO 3 straight opponents in the first round and is in the next title shot against Dominick Cruz  come December 30th.

Mexico’s Erik Perez (16-6) brings a fine 6-2 UFC record to his meeting with Brazil’s Felipe Arantes (18-7). Arantes is 5-3-1 in the UFC and he is on a two fight winning streak.

The Max Griffin (12-3) versus Erick Montano (7-4) bout sees a close line as Montano is fighting in his home country and carries a UFC win on his resume. Griffin made his UFC debut this past August and he was stopped by Cody Covington, so he is getting the chance to return on relatively short notice.

Middleweight action sees veteran “Smilin” Sam Alvey (28-8) return looking for his third win in a row against Alex Nicholson (7-2). Alvey will walk in with a wide gap in both experience and in UFC-level experience.
