Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints Betting Preview

Cleveland is playing the role of underdog and is currently getting 9 points in this game. The Browns are also receiving +270 moneyline odds while the Saints are -350. Should one squad can create a bunch of points early on it would result in a worthwhile live betting scenario. Oddsmakers have set the over/under (O/U) at 50 points.

This game’s over/under was originally set at 47.5, but early action has swayed to the over.

The Browns have gained 0.0 units so far and are 1-0 against the spread (ATS). The team’s recorded an O/U mark of 1-0. The disappointing Saints have lost 4.8 units this season. The team is 0-1 ATS and also has an O/U record of 1-0.

The Browns are 0-0-1 straight up (SU) in 2018 while the Saints are 0-1 SU.

The Browns are hoping to stay undefeated after a 21-21 tie with Pittsburgh in Week 1. Tyrod Taylor completed only 15 passes on 40 attempts for 197 yards, along with a TD and an interception. Carlos Hyde (62 yards on 22 rush attempts, one TD) and the signal-caller Taylor (77 yards on eight carries, one TD) led the ground attack. Jarvis Landry (seven receptions, 106 yards) and David Njoku (three catches, 13 yards) handled the receiving duties in the defeat.

New Orleans just dropped a 48-40 game to Tampa Bay in Week 1. Drew Brees completed 37-of-45 passes for 439 yards and three touchdowns. Alvin Kamara (29 yards on eight rush attempts, two TDs) handled the running game while Michael Thomas (16 receptions, 180 yards, one TD) and Kamara (nine catches, 112 yards, one TD) led the pass-catching attack in the loss.

If last year’s results can translate to 2018, then it seems like the Saints should hold an edge along both the offensive and defensive fronts, as their offensive line allowed just 20 sacks last season while their D-line logged 42 sacks. The Browns O-line allowed 50 sacks last year and their defense created only 34 sacks.
