Bakersfield Roadrunners vs. Central Michigan Chippewas Betting Prediction

In the Roadrunners’ last game, they thoroughly outplayed the Antelope Valley Pioneers, 111-75. The Roadrunners had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (46.4 vs. 24.3) and had a better turnover percentage (14.7 vs. 18.9). Bakersfield was led by Rickey Holden, who was the team’s leading scorer with 25 points on 8-for-8 shooting.

Central Michigan easily got past the Chicago State Cougars in their last game, 101-60. The Chippewas had a much better turnover percentage (9.5 vs. 24.0) and had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.575 vs. 0.375). Larry Austin Jr. was Central Michigan’s leading scorer with 17 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field.

Central Michigan won the lone game against the Roadrunners last season, 75-72. Central Michigan had a much better free throw rate (0.370 vs. 0.148) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.630 vs. 0.593).

The high-powered offense of Central Michigan will face off against the mid-tier defense of Bakersfield. Since last season, the Chippewas rank 30th in offensive efficiency, while the Roadrunners are 165th in defensive efficiency. The Chippewas should have the advantage on that end of the court.
