French Open Odds: Serena Williams is the big favorite to win the 2014 French Open. Serena is the defending champion and she has dominated women’s tennis for many years so it is no surprise to see her listed as the favorite. The question for bettors is whether they want to go against Serena in the French Open. It is hard to make a strong case for either Na or Sharapova because when Serena is healthy she wins. Other players really need a Serena injury to contend but the odds on players like Agnieszka Radwanska, Jelena Jankovic, Ana Ivanovic and Simona Halep are high. Halep is one of the most improved players in the world. “Last year I was top 20, now I’m top five so it’s a big difference,” she said. “I’m enjoying this time because it’s the best in my career.”
