The guys from the College Football Podcast were excited to announce the return of Handicapping the Hardwood, the tremendous college basketball podcast that got rave reviews last season. They started after college football last season, but they’re going to start this season from the first week so that listeners will get all the best information each week throughout the season. The first show will be on Monday November 10, so make sure to keep an ear out for that!

The Quick-Hitters segment is a good way to kick off the show because injuries and personnel changes often explain some of the line moves that have happened this week. Working in conjunction with the Inside the Lines segment, things that bettors need to know that can be easily overlooked are laid out with top-notch analysis. Basically, think of it like cause and effect. The Quick-Hitter points are the cause and the effects explained by two guys with over 25 years of handicapping experience.

Under the radar games are something that Adam and Kyle push on both the College Football Podcast and Handicapping the Hardwood, their college basketball podcast, and the line moves segment features a lot of these because those are the games that move the most from week-to-week.

This week, the guys focused on games all across the college football landscape, beginning with a key SEC matchup between LSU and Alabama. The Tigers are the home team for this year’s meeting and the Crimson Tide have certainly been a more consistent bunch than the Tigers. Will this season’s matchup have an impact on the College Football Playoff?

Also, a major matchup in the Big Ten as Ohio State tries to avenge last season’s loss against the Michigan State Spartans. This is undoubtedly the premier regular season matchup in the Big Ten and one of the best coaching matchups of the weekend. Not only will Urban Meyer against Mark Dantonio be a great matchup, but so will Pat Narduzzi against Tom Herman. The Buckeyes were soundly outcoached last season in the Big Ten Championship Game. Will that play a role this week?

There’s a very intriguing game in the Pac-12 between Oregon and Utah. The Ducks travel to Utah looking for a chance to cement their status as a top-four team in the College Football Playoff, while the Utes are looking for another big home upset. This features an interesting coaching dynamic as well between Kyle Whittingham and Mark Helfrich. The anaysis given with the Oregon-Utah game is the kind that listeners can expect each and every week in the College Football Podcast and bettors should tune in to listen to Adam and Kyle’s thoughts.

Finally, the guys covered this week’s Baylor-Oklahoma game in-depth, as the Sooners are getting some of the love in the market this week. The Bears are an underdog for the first time in a long time and that’s significant, especially with action going against the Bears so far this week. Kyle wonders if the health of Bryce Petty is something that bettors need to be paying closer attention to and Adam suggests some things about the Sooners and their running game that are worth noticing.
