Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins Odds

The Twins are 81-75 against the spread (ATS), but just 73-84 straight up (SU). The team’s lost 12.7 units for moneyline bettors while earning 1.9 units (ATS). The Tigers, on the other hand, have gone 64-94 SU this year and are 81-76 ATS. Overall, the team’s lost 6.2 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 6.0 units ATS.

Minnesota games have a 76-77-3 over/under record in 2018. The Tigers have been a good under bet with a total record of 67-82-8.

Francisco Liriano will get the start for the visiting Tigers. The southpaw Liriano is 5-11 with a 4.40 ERA and 105 strikeouts. He’s 0-2 with four strikeouts and a 9.45 ERA against Minnesota this year (two starts).

The Twins are planning to start lefty Gabriel Moya (3-1, 4.72 ERA), who has 30 strikeouts and 13 walks, as well as a 1.31 WHIP. Moya is 0-0 with six strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA across three starts against Detroit this year.

The bullpen has a 4.52 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 9.0 K/9. In 71 divisional games, Twins starters have an ERA of 4.74 and the bullpen’s ERA is 3.25.

Minnesota’s hitters have put up 4.5 runs per contest, including 4.5 per game against divisional foes and 5.2 per game over their last five. The team’s hit .273/.333/.420 over its last five contests and is 2-3 SU during that span.

The Twins’ hitters have been led by outfielder Eddie Rosario and first baseman Joe Mauer. Rosario is hitting .288/.323/.479 with 24 home runs, 77 RBIs and 87 runs scored, while Mauer’s line sits at .277/.347/.374 with six homers, 46 RBIs and 58 runs.

The Tigers have gained 6.0 units and are 24-16 ATS when facing a lefty starter this season. The over has cashed in 21 of those games, compared to 18 that’ve gone under in such games. On the other hand, the Twins have lost 7.2 units and are 21-22 ATS when facing a left-handed starting pitcher. The over’s hit in 19 of those games, as opposed to 23 that’ve cashed the under.
