NCAA Tournament

After a wild weekend of college basketball action, the Selection Committee has made their final decisions. We know who the eight teams are in the First Four and we know all of the remaining teams who will participate in the Round of 64 March Madness matchups. BetDSI Sportsbook has already posted betting lines for all 28 matchups that we’ll see come Thursday and Friday.

The biggest favorites on the board are the Virginia Cavaliers (-22.5), the Purdue Boilermakers (-21) and the Duke Blue Devils (-20). While each of those three teams is quite strong, what is surprising to note is that only one of them is a No. 1 seed. The Cavaliers are the overall No. 1 seed in the tournament, which is what is contributing to them being such a big favorite. However, Duke and Purdue are No. 2 seeds. By comparison, Kansas, who is also a No. 1 seed, is merely a 14.5-point favorite over Penn.

There are a number of games that the oddsmakers are expecting to be a coin flip as nine of the 28 games on the board show a favorite of -3 or less. It is called March Madness for a reason, so we should see a lot of drama in those contests in particular.

Remember that we still have eight teams who will be vying for the final four spots in the Round of 64. Those teams will be participating in what’s called the First Four and the betting lines have already been posted for those games too.
