In the Golden Gophers’ last outing, they beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 83-76. Getting to the free throw line was one of Minnesota’s largest strengths. They made 30 trips to the line, six more than Oklahoma State. With 24 points on 6-for-12 shooting, Jordan Murphy was the top scorer from either team.

The Buckeyes fell to the Syracuse Orange in their last game, 72-62. Syracuse’s effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Ohio State. The Orange had a rate of 0.611 (above their season average of 0.436), while the Buckeyes posted a mark of 0.391 (below their season average of 0.585). Ohio State’s C.J. Jackson had a good performance, leading the team in scoring with 19 points on 4-for-14 shooting.
