The Indiana Pacers have unveiled new Statement Edition uniforms that revive the pinstriped aesthetic first seen in 1997. The redesign uses a gold base complemented by black pinstripes and dark blue lettering, a deliberate callback to the franchise’s late-1990s visual identity.

The jerseys place an emphasis on the state, with “INDIANA” emblazoned across the front. An asymmetrical stripe travels down the side of the shorts and draws attention to a silhouette of the state, which contains the Pacers’ basketball logo rendered in gold and marked by a star indicating Indianapolis’ location.

The bottom of the jerseys, just above the tag, features the phrase “Boom, Baby!” in tribute to Bobby “Slick” Leonard. Leonard, who served as a coach and later an announcer for the Pacers, died in 2021 and is honored on the new Statement Edition set.

The return to pinstripes recalls a successful stretch in franchise history. The Pacers made the postseason in nine consecutive seasons after introducing the original pinstriped uniforms, a run that included an appearance in the 2000 NBA Finals, when Indiana lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.

As the club reintroduces elements of the late-1990s look, the Statement Edition uniforms tie contemporary branding to a recognizable era in Pacers history while incorporating specific nods to the state of Indiana and a long-standing team figure.
