NBA News: Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns Scuffle Fight and Aftermath

Moreover, Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns were the two players going at it. Already when a fight happens in the NBA, it’s an intriguing thing that gets a lot of fans talking. However when two stars start to throw haymakers and tumble on the hardcourt, it’s really a big time news item. Here is video of the scuffle.

Then, here’s what Sixers general manager Elton Brand had to say of the skirmish. Honestly, it sounds like he has his players’ backs.

“First and foremost, we obviously don’t condone the altercation that happened last night,” Brand said. “As a former player, I have experienced situations like that in the past. I understand how our players reacted in the moment. I have their backs.”

Further news that came out Thursday is that Ben Simmons is unlikely to be suspended due to his role in the altercation. Moreover, the incident was reviewed and Simmons’ role has been deemed “peacemaker”.

In addition, Embiid put it simply when he talked about his role in the incident.

“I didn’t throw any punches, so I shouldn’t get suspended,” Embiid said.
