Northern Ireland will travel to Spain to play Guinea in an international friendly on Thursday, June 4, with coverage in the U.K. on BBC Two Northern Ireland, BBC iPlayer and the BBC website. ESPN will carry live updates of the match.
Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. BST (12 p.m. ET) at the Estadio Ciudad de La Línea in Cádiz. The match official is listed as Seth Galia.
Manager Michael O’Neill reported no injury concerns ahead of the fixture, saying the entire squad is available for training.
O’Neill, who signed a new four-year contract last month, will use the friendly as the first match of a new cycle. He declined an offer to remain at Blackburn Rovers after guiding them to Championship safety while briefly combining both roles.
Midfielder Isaac Price said players were anxious when O’Neill’s future was uncertain but that the squad is energised now that he has recommitted to the national team. Price recalled facing O’Neill in club competition during the run-in with Blackburn and West Brom and described the manager’s spell at Ewood Park as successful in keeping the club up.
Northern Ireland will play a second friendly against France in Lille on June 8 as part of preparations for the UEFA Nations League, which begins in September.
