Raptors on Cusp of Finals, Klay Shocked by Snub and More

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

The first road team to win a game in the Eastern Conference Finals was the surprising Raptors, who are up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series and are one win away from their first NBA Finals. Toronto had to survive a double-overtime game to avoid going down 3-0; now Kawhi Leonard and his boys have completely turned the series around and have put the Bucks on the brink of elimination. Elsewhere, Klay Thompson lost a lot of money and pride when he found out that voters named Charlotte’s Kemba Walker third-team All-NBA instead of him. And what would be a sporting event in Milwaukee without a little beer chugging?

Could Toronto give Golden State a series in the NBA Finals? We might be about to find out.

Of course, when Giannis is on the other side, it wouldn’t be smart to assume anything. The Bucks are a road win away from re-taking control of the Eastern Conference finals headed into Game 7.

When Kemba Walker made third-team All-NBA over Klay Thompson, it cost Thompson roughly $30 million because he’s no longer eligible for a super-max contract.

Oh, LeBron. More tampering? With a guy who’s trying to lead his team to the first NBA Finals without you in eight years?

What, you expected the quarterback to beat an offensive lineman in a chugging contest?
