Rhode Island Rams vs. Duquesne Dukes ATS Prediction

The Rams are hoping for a better outcome after their 77-70 loss to the Massachusetts Minutemen in their last matchup. Massachusetts’ 14.5 turnover percentage was their largest advantage over Rhode Island, who had a mark of 23.3. The Minutemen’s mark was better than their season average of 16.9, while the Rams’ was above their season average of 15.9. Tyrese Martin was the game’s high scorer with 23 points on 8-for-11 shooting.

The last time the Dukes took the court, they lost to the VCU Rams, 80-74. VCU won the rebounding battle. The Rams had 15 offensive rebounds and 45 total rebounds, while the Dukes had nine and 29, respectively. With 20 points, Duquesne’s Frankie Hughes put together a solid performance.

After the Rams won the lone contest against the Dukes last season, 61-58, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. Rhode Island had a much better turnover percentage (14.1 vs. 26.7). Duquesne, meanwhile, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (30.8 vs. 17.6).

Duquesne might struggle to find the bottom of the net as they square off against one of the nation’s best defenses. Rhode Island ranks 58th in defensive efficiency while the Dukes rank 207th in offensive efficiency.
