Fordham Rams vs. Maine Black Bears ATS Prediction

In the Rams’ last outing, they topped the Manhattan Jaspers, 57-56. Fordham’s effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Manhattan. The Rams had a rate of 0.531 (below their season average of 0.554), while the Jaspers posted a mark of 0.435. Fordham received a boost from Antwon Portley, who was the team’s high scorer with 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting.

The Black Bears lost to the Saint Peter’s Peacocks in their last matchup, 63-59. One of Saint Peter’s’ largest advantages was getting to the charity stripe. They made 25 trips to the line, while Maine went 16 times. With 14 points on 5-for-17 shooting, Andrew Fleming was Maine’s high scorer.

It might be a mistake-prone game for the Maine offense. Dating back to the 2017-18 season, Maine ranks 339th in the nation in ball protection (turnover percentage of 21.6 percent), while the pesky defense of Fordham has forced the 52nd-most turnovers in the NCAA (21.2 percent).

The Rams won the sole contest against the Black Bears last season, 67-66. Fordham had a much better turnover percentage (13.4 vs. 20.1). Maine, on the other hand, had a better offensive rebounding percentage (26.3 vs. 22.0).
