The Nets will be hoping for a similar result after comfortably covering the 2-point spread against the Phoenix Suns in their last game, 104-82. The game’s combined points (186) were well under the projected point total of 220.5. The Nets forced 20 turnovers and held the Suns to an offensive rebounding percentage of 18.8 (below the 28.5 mark opponents have averaged against Brooklyn this season). Brooklyn rallied around Caris LeVert, who was the game’s high scorer with 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting.

In the Nuggets’ last game, they dropped a tough one to the Memphis Grizzlies, 89-87, despite being 3-point favorites. The combined points for the game (176) came in well under the projected point total of 204. Memphis made good use of their 25 trips to the free throw line, making 21 of them (84.0 percent). Denver, on the other hand, was 15-19 (78.9 percent). With 16 points and nine rebounds, Denver’s Trey Lyles had a good performance.

Half-court execution will be of utmost importance when a pair of the NBA’s slowest-paced teams go head-to-head. Denver ranks 24th in possessions per game (101.8) and Brooklyn is 23rd (101.8).

Brooklyn holds records of 5-6 straight up (SU) and 6-5 against the spread (ATS). Vegas has typically been fairly accurate when predicting totals of Nets games, with 6 unders compared to 4 overs.

Meanwhile, Denver owns records of 9-2 SU and 7-4 ATS. Vegas has a tendency to place the total high when the Nuggets are involved, as eight of their 11 games have ended under the O/U total.

After the Nuggets won both matchups against the Nets last season, these teams will meet for the first time this year. In the last matchup, Denver won 112-104. The Nuggets had a better turnover percentage (15.7 vs. 20.2) and had a better offensive rebounding percentage (18.8 vs. 17.4).
