Detroit Titans – Eastern Michigan Eagles Preview

The Detroit Titans (6-4) head to Eastern Michigan to take on the Eagles (7-4) in what should be a fast-paced game. Action begins at 7:00 pm ET on Monday, Dec. 28 and can be seen on ES3.

The Eagles enter this game hoping for similar success after topping Coppin State 73-62 in their last matchup. James Thompson IV played a pivotal role, recording his seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Titans, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 79-74 loss against Western Kentucky in their last game. Chris Jenkins had a good game for Detroit, registering 14 points, eight rebounds, and one steal.

There could be a fair amount of transition offense in a game that features two of the nation’s more up-tempo teams. Eastern Michigan is ranked 23rd in possessions per game (75.1), while Detroit is eighth (76.4).

Eastern Michigan is a four-point favorite against Detroit and the Over/Under (O/U) for this game is sitting at 158 points. Despite being 7-4 Straight Up (SU), the Eagles have struggled to cover the spread in most of their matchups, only managing a record of 1-4 Against The Spread (ATS). Opponents have consistently had the ball stolen by the Eagles, who rank third in the country in steals per game with 10.5.
