NFL News: Antonio Brown Announces Post Playing Career Plan

NFL

The Antonio Brown story continues to take more wild twists and turns by the day. While back-to-school season has come and gone for many, Antonio Brown has decided that’s his next chapter.

Indeed, Brown has re-enrolled at Central Michigan University according to ESPN and various other news outlets on Monday.

Remember, this comes in the wake of Brown telling us that he was ‘done playing in the NFL’ on Sunday morning. Now, Brown will again be a student; allegedly.

Via the ESPN report, Brown will be taking four classes to start out. Moreover, this has been in the works since his recent release from the New England Patriots.

MLive reported Monday that Brown enrolled in the four classes on Sept. 16, four days before he was released by the New England Patriots. Introduction to Management, Technical Writing, Death and Dying (a religion course) and Racism and Equality (a sociology course).

Equally important, Brown attended Central Michigan when he played collegiately from 2007 to 2009. Then, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth-round of the 2009 NFL Draft (195th overall).

Recently, Brown has been accused of rape and sexual assault by his former trainer. Prior to that he played in one game with the New England Patriots in 2019, where he caught a touchdown pass.

Indeed, if we have seen Brown play his final NFL down; he left a mark with one of the most dominant stretches of wide receiver play of all-time. From 2013 until last season, he had greater than 100 receptions for the Pittsburgh Steelers in each season.

Now we all wait and see if his stint as a student at Central Michigan University brings the same amount of success in his next chapter. Finally, he will need to navigate his way through a couple legal matters including the aforementioned sexual assault charge; as well as trying to recover money he believes he was owed before his release.

Therefore, by tomorrow, there could be more interesting Antonio Brown news. Truly, this whole storyline has been an odd one.
