Vitor Belfort (+230)

This could be the end of the road for two of the best Brazilians to be part of the UFC. Vitor Belfort is now 41 and this is the end of his UFC contract. He was supposed to be done on January 14, but Uriah Hall backed out, setting up this match for Belfort against his longtime friend. Belfort is 26-13 in his career and had an impressive showing against Nate Marquardt at UFC 212 back in June. It would be great to see Belfort go out with a win here, but the odds are certainly against him. After all, Belfort was knocked out in four of his previous five fights before his last  win.

Lyoto Machida (-270)

Lyoto Machida is 39 and still good enough to headline events.  He did so back in February in a win over Eryk Anders. That was his first win since December 20, 2014, so it had been a long time for the former champ. Machida missed a lot of time seriving a suspension and took a first-round beating from Derek Brunson in his return fight. The win over Anders wasn’t exactly a shining performance from Machida either. He isn’t on the verge of retirement like Belfort, but it isn’t that far down the line. After all, this is his third fight of his contract.

Pick: Vitor Belfort  (+230)

Belfort faces long odds for the upset here, as neither fighter has been impressive for the last several years, but he has nothing to lose here and can literally put it all on the line. The crowd will be appreciative either way, but we should see a pro-Belfort crowd. Going 15 minutes with Nate Marquardt was a big accomplishment and he only needs one more huge effort.  Our pick is for the underdog at (+230)
