MLB Lines:  For the past three seasons no team in Major League Baseball has been a better bet than the Oakland A’s as they have become the dominant team in the American League West and a team that has been able to maintain its board value both with the money line and the run line.  The Toronto Blue Jays have been one of the biggest surprises in the game so far this season as the leader of the American League East but their lack of quality pitching casts a shadow over their long term prospects.  The Oakland A’s will host the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night at the O.co Coliseum with coverage on MLBN starting at 10:05 PM ET.

Hitting Hard

Toronto ranked 4th for run production and 1st for home runs which offset a pitching staff ranked 24th for earned run average.  The Jays were 22-18 on the road and +959 with the run line.

Impressive Metrics

Oakland ranked 1st for run production and 2nd for ERA.  The A’s were +1253 betting units overall and +1326 units on the run line.

The Pick

Heading into this series the Blue Jays have won 11 out of their last 20 games against the A’s with just 2 out of the last 9 games between the A’s and Blue Jays going over the total.  The Blue Jays swept the A’s at home in a 3 game series earlier this season and have won 4 out of their last 5 games at the O.co Coliseum against Oakland with just 4 out of the last 13 games between the A’s and Jays at Oakland going over the total.  The best way to play this one is with the underdog!
