MLB News: Cubs’ Anthony Rizzo Takes Shots at Astros on Live Broadcast

Astros

The Astros shame tour continued this week and actually carried over onto the field. In a live broadcast, the Cubs’ Anthony Rizzo cracked a joke at Houston’s expense.

Rizzo was wearing a mic in the middle of the game, an increasing trend in Major League Baseball during exhibition-style games. When asked if he knew what was coming on the next pitch, Rizzo said he didn’t know and asked someone to “bang for me”.

This was of course in reference to the famous Astros’ cheating scandal in which Houston used trach cans to relay signs. After a week filled with less than warm welcomes, it looks like it’s going to be a ridiculously long season for Houston.

Rizzo and Kris Bryant were both wearing mics during the live broadcast, but it was only Rizzo who made the joke.
