Maybe Bill Belichick is getting a little complacent after winning six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots, or maybe he simply believed that his team deserved a little bit of a break. Either way, players are happy that the New England Patriots decided to cancel the team’s final two OTAs. The team won’t meet formally again until late July when training camp kicks off and the grind to make it seven kicks off in earnest.

The Patriots canceled their two remaining OTA practices (previously scheduled for today and tomorrow). Summer break for the Pats. Next time we’ll see them on the field is the first day of training camp in late July.

The Baltimore Ravens shook up a lot of things this offseason, and wide receiver was one of the most affected positions. Only two receivers that caught a pass in 2018 are back this year, and Chris Moore could be one of this season’s major sleepers as a result. Moore was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he has not made much of an impact during his previous three seasons in Baltimore. He has just 44 receptions in his short career, but this is a contract year for him and he will be looking to cash in as the player that has been with the Ravens the longest in this corps.

Replay has been a major topic in almost every sport as the technology has improved over the last five seasons, and it’s in the news once again. There is a looming debate regarding who should have the right to trigger a review in the final two minutes of the half and overtime. That responsibility currently rests with replay officials, but some want to put the onus back on coaches.

A new hurdle has arisen amid the proposal to have @NFL coaches challenge PI/non-PI in final two minutes of half/OT: Not all coaches want it to be their responsibility. A deeper look at an important looming decision from the competition committee… https://t.co/dSVIRsoN0l

Rashaad Penny did not have the rookie season he wanted in 2018, but he could be ready for a breakout campaign. At this point in the season, it’s buyer beware with all the players saying they are “in the best shape of their lives”, but this feels legitimate with Perry. If he can avoid injury, he can be a bell cow running back for the Seattle Seahawks.
